SUMMARY:Ocky Clark's Strides for Students - The Walk is Over but the Fundra
 ising Continues
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, November 29\, Octavius Clark\, affectionately kno
wn as Ocky\, walked into Florida State University's Doak Campbell Stadium
after having taken 494\,000 strides starting at Winter Springs High Schoo
l the Friday before.\n\nMany asked why Ocky chose to take this walk. His d
etermined grandfather\, James Isaiah Bradwell\, took the same path on foot
in 1917 to find work and begin building his future. By retracing his gran
dfather's steps\, Ocky will honor his family history\, highlighting the st
ruggles of so many minorities in Florida's history and giving back to the
community that he has sworn to protect through his military service and ed
ucate through his role as teacher and coach.\n\nDonations raised from this
journey will go toward the construction of a new track and field house\,
including a community room\, at Winter Springs High School.\n\nRead more a
bout Ocky's Strides for Students here.
