$151,000 in Scholarships Awarded to SCPS Seniors

Each year, the Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools proudly recognizes the outstanding achievements and aspirations of Seminole County’s graduating seniors through our scholarship program. This year, the impact was greater than ever.

In 2025, more than 770 SCPS seniors applied for 41 different scholarship opportunities made available through our Foundation Scholarship Applications. These scholarships—made possible through the generosity of individual donors, community partners, local businesses, and memorial funds—represent a significant investment in the futures of our students. We were happy to award $151,000 in scholarships to these deserving students with 59% being on free or reduced lunch.

Over the course of the scholarship season, 35 dedicated reviewers on our Grants and Scholarship Committee conducted a detailed and thoughtful review of nearly 2,300 submitted applications. These volunteers committed hours of their time to carefully read essays and score submissions based on the specific criteria of each scholarship and select the recipients who best met the intent of each scholarship fund.

From future educators and engineers to aspiring nurses and nonprofit leaders, the 2025 recipients reflect the diverse talent, ambition, and promise of Seminole County’s youth. Thanks to the support of our donors and the hard work of our committee, these students are one step closer to achieving their dreams—and making their own impact in the world.

“Thank you so very much to the donors who made this possible. I am so grateful for this opportunity, and being chosen validated all my hard work over the years. Thank you!”

– Janelle, Class of 2025 senior, Crooms Academy of Information Technology
