A big thank you to the Ryan Foundation for their $20,000 grant in support of Tools 4 Seminole Schools (T4SS)—a program that helps ensure students begin each school year prepared, confident, and ready to learn.
These funds supported T4SS’s annual distribution of backpacks and essential school supplies for students in need across Seminole County Public Schools. At the start of each school year, more than 3,500 backpacks are provided to students from low-income households, helping remove common barriers that can prevent families from accessing critical resources.

Students participating in the free and reduced lunch program are notified that backpacks filled with supplies are available directly at their local schools during Open House events. This approach reduces financial strain while also addressing time and transportation challenges for families—making it easier for students to arrive on the first day of school equipped for success.
The Ryan Foundation has been a dedicated supporter of the Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools for more than 15 years. Through the legacy left by Sheelah Ryan, this partnership has made a lasting difference for thousands of students. helping meet immediate needs while investing in brighter academic futures.
