Reinvesting in the Future of Local Arts
The proceeds from Sanford Porchfest will be reinvested into our community, fueling the creativity and artistic potential of Seminole County’s youth. These funds will specifically support three key initiatives:
- Young People’s Concert Field Trip for Fifth Graders
This fall, all fifth-grade students in Seminole County will have the opportunity to experience the wonder of orchestral music, opera, and ballet at the Dr. Phillips Center. - Grants for Great Ideas: Mini-Grants for Teachers
Through this program, educators will have the resources they need to foster artistic expression and innovation in the classroom. Teachers will receive mini-grants to bring their most creative, hands-on art projects to life. - Florida Prepaid Foundation 2-Year Jump Start Scholarships
Six SCPS seniors planning to major in the Arts will be awarded Florida Prepaid Foundation 2-year Jump Start scholarships. These scholarships will provide crucial financial support as these talented students embark on their journey toward a career in the arts.
