The Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools is proud to recognize the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office for their generous $20,000 grant supporting two vital programs: Take Stock in Children and Midway Safe Harbor Center.
The Sheriff’s Office has been a long-time supporter of the Foundation’s mission. Education and public safety go hand in hand to build a thriving community, and their continued partnership helps create a stronger community and a brighter future for students in need.
Take Stock in Children is a program that promotes personal growth, self-responsibility, and academic success for deserving low-income students. It provides a unique set of resources including long-term support, mentorship, student advocacy, and college scholarships. Based on the principle that with extensive support, motivation, and accountability, students will work hard to graduate high school and earn a college degree, Take Stock in Children changes lives and uplifts entire families.
The Midway Safe Harbor Center, located in the Midway community, provides a safe and nurturing environment for students after school, evenings, weekends, and throughout the summer. The Center ensures a supportive environment that meets the needs of the community while also providing positive role models and programming to help youth thrive.
Thank you, Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, for your unwavering commitment to the students and families of Seminole County.
