We would like to thank the Elizabeth Morse Genius Foundation for their $25,000 grant dedicated to enhancing visual arts education across the district.

Over the summer, the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art will host a unique professional development opportunity for Seminole County’s visual art teachers. This engaging event provides hands-on experiences, curriculum resources, and inspiration that teachers carry into their classrooms throughout the year.

Each participating teacher will have the necessary materials to implement what they learned during the summer sessions with up to 100 of their students. Thanks to this grant, teachers will receive individualized art packets containing school-level project materials, allowing them to bring the summer’s lessons directly into their classrooms—without the added burden of purchasing supplies on their own.

To maximize the value of this support, through Tools 4 Seminole Schools we will be able to leverage the bulk purchasing power to source and distribute these materials. This partnership ensures a greater reach and impact, allowing more students to benefit from hands-on, engaging art experiences inspired by their teachers’ professional development.

Special thanks to the team at The Morse Museum for their continued partnership and for referring us to this wonderful funding opportunity.
