Lockheed Martin is helping students achieve STEM success through a recent $20,000 grant to the Foundation. Through the “Launching STEM Success in Middle and High Schools” initiative, this investment will strengthen the aerospace pipeline programs connecting Greenwood Lakes Middle School, Lyman High School, and the Florida Space Institute.
These innovative programs provide students with hands-on learning experiences in robotics, 3D design, engineering, and problem-solving while building awareness of careers in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, and other STEM fields. Grant funding will support equipment, classroom materials, and enriching student field experiences.
In addition, the grant will help bring a district-wide middle school Science Unleashed experience to life, engaging students and families in interactive STEM activities at the Orlando Science Center. By supporting event and transportation costs to the Orlando Science Center, Lockheed Martin is helping make these opportunities accessible to students across all 12 middle schools, especially higher need schools.
As a longtime and dedicated supporter of our students, Lockheed Martin continues to inspire the next generation of innovators, engineers, and problem-solvers. We are deeply grateful for their partnership and commitment to educational excellence.
