The Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools is proud to receive a $20,000 Career Pathways to a Healthier Florida grant, funded by the HCA Healthcare Foundation. This award completes year three of the grant, for a total $60,000 investment by the HCA Healthcare Foundation in the Academy of Health Careers at Seminole High School.
Funds will be used to support the Allied Health Professional Employment Gateway project, where students gain real-world healthcare experiences and opportunities to earn industry-recognized certifications, including Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), and Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT). The program helps students be prepared after high school graduation to either transition directly into employment in healthcare fields, or continue their education in healthcare pathways at college or trade school.
The Foundation for Seminole County Public Schools is grateful to the HCA Healthcare Foundation for its commitment to expanding career pathways for students and strengthening the future healthcare workforce in Seminole County. This partnership is providing hands-on learning to students and making Central Florida a healthier community.
